You will need:

Total Yarn approximately 100 g / 300 m / 328 yds
100 g – 3.5 oz
Weight #3 or Light yarn
Hook Size 4.5 mm (US 7, UK 7)

Size: Adults

Width: 24 cm / 9.4 inches
Length: 28 cm / 11 inches

Terminology:

st – stitch
sts – stitches
sl.st. – slip stitch
CH – chain
SC – single crochet stitch
SCBLO – single crochet back loop only

Instructions:

I’m going to make a Ribbed pattern
To begin make 48 chains (it is for a 28cm/11 inches long hat).
If you need a different size, make more or fewer chains.

Put the stitch marker in the eighth chain from the end.
Row 1: skip chain and make one SC stitch in every chain to the stitch marker; make 8 sl.sts. (move the stitch marker in the stitch above)
Row 2: CH and turn; make SC in the back loop only (SCBLO) in every stitch across; (move the stitch marker in the stitch above)
Row 3: CH and turn; make one SCBLO stitch in every stitch to the stitch marker (move the stitch marker in the stitch above); make 8 sl.sts.
Row 4: CH and turn; make SCBLO in every stitch across; (move the stitch marker in the stitch above)

Continue repeating Rows 3 – 4, to be a total of 82 rows (48 cm / 19 inches)

Move the stitch marker in the stitch above, in each row.

If you need a different size, make more or fewer rows.
