You will need:
– Total Yarn of approximately 100 g
100 g / 3.53 Oz /330 m / 361 ydy
I used two colors of yarn (blue and beige).
– Hook Size 3.5 mm (US E/4, UK 9)
– Tape measure
– Sewing needle
– Scissors
Size: Adults – 24 cm / 9.5 inches
Size of shoes:
EUR & CN = 38-40
US = 6.5 – 7.5
UK = 4.5 – 5.5
Terminology:
st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet
SC2tog – SC 2 together
SC3tog – SC 3 together
DC – double crochet stitch (yarn over the hook once)
HDC – half double crochet stitch
Instructions:
First, we’re going to use blue-colored yarn.
To begin make 45 chains (22 cm / 8.6 inches).
For longer or shorter slippers, do a few chains more or less.
Row 1: skip the first chain and make SC to the end of the row. Total 44 SC.
Rows 2 – 6: CH one and turn your work; make SC in the back loops to the end of the row; Total 44 SCs. Turn your work.
Switch to a beige-colored yarn.
Rows 7- 10: CH one and turn your work; make SC in the back loops to the end of the row; Total 44 SCs.
Row 11: CH one and turn your work; SC in the first stitch; HDC in the second st; DC one in the third st. DC one in every stitch across.
Row 12: CH one and turn your work; SC one in every stitch across.
Rows 13 – 30: repeat Rows 11 – 12
Repeat rows 11 – 12 until you have done 30 rows
Rows 31 – 34: CH one and make SC in the back loops to the end of the row
Switch to a blue-colored yarn.
Row 35: CH one and turn your work; SC one in every stitch across
Rows 36 – 40: CH one and turn your work, make SC in the back loops to the end of the row
Now, from the right side, on the top of the foot, we will continue working.
Row 1: CH one and make SC2tog to the end of the row.
Row 2: CH one and turn your work, make SC2tog to the end of the row
Row 3: CH one and turn your work, make SC2tog to the end of the row
Then, close the two sides together and sew them with yarn and a sewing needle.
You have to determine how big you want the opening to be.
Heel
Fold your work in half and place a stitch marker.
Row 1: CH one and make SC to the stitch marker, SC3tog, SC one to the end of the row.
Row 2: CH one and turn your work, make SC to the stitch marker, SC3tog, SC one to the end of the row.
Row 3: CH one and turn your work, make SC to the middle, SC2tog, SC one to the end of the row.
Sew a heel with a sewing needle.
