Terminology:

st – stitch
sts – stitches
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
DC – double crochet stitch
Shell – (DC3 + CH2 + DC in one place)

Instructions:

FRONT = BACK

To begin, chain 99 (for size M) or any multiple of 5 + 4
If you need a different size, add or subtract from this chain number.

Different sizes:

S = 94 chains
M = 99 chains
L = 104 chains
XL = 214 chains
XXL = 124 chains

Multiple of 5 + 4 for all sizes

Row 1: skip 5 chains and make Shell (DC 3 + CH 2 + DC in one stitch) in the sixth chain, skip 4 chains, Shell, *skip CH4, Shell *repeat to the last 3 chains; skip CH2 and make DC into the last chain. Total 19 shells.

Row 2: CH 3 and turn; *Shell in the next two chains space *repeat to the last stitch; DC in the last st.

Pattern = Row 2

Continue to repeat the Pattern until you measure 28 cm / 11 inches. (23 Rows)
If you want, you can make more rows to make the Top longer.
Turn your work.

Shoulder straps

Now We are going to make shoulder straps.
There are 19 shells (45 cm / 17.6 inches)
Put the first stitch marker in the last stitch of the third shell.
Put the second stitch marker in the last stitch of the 7th shell.
Put the third stitch marker in the last stitch of the 12th shell.
Put the fourth stitch marker in the last stitch of the 16th shell.
3 shells remain.
There will be one shoulder strap here and another here.
Repeat the Pattern until you measure approximately 20 cm ≈ 8 in
It’s up to you to determine how many rows you want to make for the shoulder strap.
Make single crochet stitches on the last row of the shoulder strap.
Last row: CH, SC in the first st, skip st, SC 2 in the chain space, skip st, SC in the next two sts, *skip st, SC 2 in the chain space, skip st, SC in the next two sts *repeat to the last stitch.

Start the second shoulder strap from the inside.

FRONT = BACK

Use your yarn and sew two pieces together at the shoulder.

Edge – around the Top:
Rows 1 – 2: single crochet stitches
Row 3: CH, SC 3, *CH 3, SC 3 *repeat
