You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.
Terminology:
st – stitch
sts – stitches
DC – double crochet stitch
V-st – (DC + CH + DC) in one stitch
FPDC – Front Post Double Crochet
Instructions:
To begin chains, multiple of 3 + 1
Row 1: skip chain 4 and make V-st in the fifth chain, skip 2 chains, V-st, *skip CH 2, V-st *repeat to the last 2 chains, skip CH and make DC in the last chain
Row 2: CH 3 and turn, *FPDC around the first DC of the V stitch, DC 2 into the chain space (middle of the V-st), FPDC around the second DC of the V-st, *continue this across the row, DC in the last stitch
Row 3: CH 3 and turn, *V- st between two DC *continue this across the row, DC in the last stitch
Row 4: CH 3 and turn, *FPDC around the first DC of the V stitch, DC 2 into the chain space (middle of the V-st), FPDC around the second DC of the V-st, *continue this across the row, DC in the last stitch
Continue repeat Rows 3 – 4
Rows 3 – 4 = Pattern
