359 – How To Crochet Shell Stitch Pattern for the vest, sweater, scarf, blouse, blanket…

You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.

Terminology:

st – stitch
sts – stitches
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
DC – double crochet stitch
Shell – DC 2 + SC + DC 2 in the chain space

Instructions:

To begin, chain 23 or any multiple of 5 + 3

Row 1: skip chain and make SC in every chain across.

Row 2: CH one and turn, SC in the next 2 stitches, CH 3, skip 3 sts and make SC in the next 2 sts., *CH 3, skip 3 sts, SC 2 *repeat this process to the end row.

Row 3: CH 3 and turn, Shell (DC 2 + SC + DC 2) in the first chain space *Shell in every chain space across *repeat this process to the end row; DC in the last stitch.

Row 4: CH one and turn, SC in the next 2 stitches, CH 3, skip 3 sts and make SC in the next 2 sts., *CH 3, skip 3 sts, SC 2 *repeat this process to the end row.

Rows 3 – 4 = Pattern
Continue repeat Rows 3 – 4
Last Row: SC stitches
