You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.
Terminology:
st – stitch
sts – stitches
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
DC – double crochet stitch (yarn over the hook once)
2 crossed DC with CH – Skip 2 stitches and make DC in the next stitch. Make chain one. Then, make DC in the first skipped stitch working in front of the previous stitch.
Instructions:
First, use an orange-colored yarn.
To begin, chain 15 or any multiple of 3
Row 1: Skip chain and make SC in the second chain. Make one SC in each chain across.
Row 2: CH 3 and turn; skip 2 sts and make DC in the next stitch. Make chain one. Then, make DC in the first skipped stitch working in front of the previous stitch. This is the crossed stitch.
Make crossed stitches to the last stitch in this row (*2 crossed DC with CH *repeat).
DC in the last st.
Row 3: CH and turn; SC in the first st, SC 3 in the middle of the cross stitches, *SC 3 in the middle of the cross stitches *repeat to the last stitch; SC in the last st.
Switch to a white-colored yarn.
Rows 4 – 5: Repeat Rows 2 – 3
Rows 2 – 3 = Pattern
Changing colors:
Change color yarn every two rows.
