You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.

Terminology:
st – stitch
sts – stitches
CH – chain stitch
DC – double crochet stitch
HDC – half double crochet stitch
V-st – DC + CH + DC in one stitch

Instructions:

To begin chain 16 or any multiple of 3 + 1

Row 1: skip chain 4 and make V-st in the fifth chain, skip 2 chains, V-st, *skip CH 2, V-st *continue this across the row, skip CH and make DC in the last chain
Row 2: CH 3 and turn, DC 2 in the V-st, Using DC 2 make HDC 4 stitches around them. *DC 2 in the V-st, Using DC 2 make HDC 4 stitches around them *continue this across the row, DC in the last stitch

Now switch to another colored yarn.
Row 3: CH 3 and turn, skip 3 sts, V-st, skip 5 sts, V-st, *skip 5 sts, V-st, *continue this across the row, DC in the last stitch

Continue repeat Rows 2 – 3
Rows 2 – 3 = Pattern

Changing colors:

Change color yarn every two rows.
