You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.
Terminology:
st – stitch
sts – stitches
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
FPTC – front post treble crochet stitch
Instructions:
To begin, chain 39 or any multiple of 9 + 3
Row 1: Skip chain and make SC in the second chain. Make one SC in each chain across. Total 38 SCs. Turn your work.
Rows 2-4: CH one and make one SC in each stitch across. Total 38 SCs. Turn your work.
Row 5: CH one and make one SC in the next two sts.,
Skip 3 sts and make FPTC in the fourth st. just three st. down; skip st, SC in the next two sts, FPTC in the next st. just three st. down, skip st, SC in the next two st, make FPDC from the same stitch from which made the previous FPDC (We make all 3 FPTC from the same stitch). This is like a leaf.
Skip st and make SC in the next 2 sts;
*Now we’re going to make a leaf again. Then, skip st and make SC in the next 2 sts *repeat this process until the last leaf
When you finished the last leaf, skip stitch one and make SC in the last two sts.
Rows 6-8: CH one and make one SC in each stitch across. Turn your work.
Row 9: CH one and make one SC in the next two sts.
FPTC in the middle of the leaf down (over the second FPTC), skip st, SC in the next two sts, FPTC in the middle of the leaf down (over the second FPTC), skip st, SC in the next two sts, FPTC in the middle of the leaf down (over the second FPTC)
Skip st and make SC in the next 2 sts;
*Now we’re going to make a leaf again. Then, skip st and make SC in the next 2 sts *repeat this process until the last leaf
When you finished the last leaf, skip stitch one and make SC in the last two sts.
Repeat Rows 6 – 9
Rows 6 – 9 = Pattern
Last two rows: SC stitches
