You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.
Terminology:
st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
DC – double crochet
V st – DC + CH + DC in one stitch
Instruction:
To begin, chain 28 or any multiple of 7
Row 1: Skip 3 chains and make one double crochet stitch in each chain across.
Total of 26 sts. Turn your work
Row 2: CH 3, skip st and make V st (DC + CH + DC in one stitch), CH, skip 2 sts, DC 2, CH, skip 2 st, V st, *CH, skip 2 sts, DC 2, CH, skip 2 sts, V st *repeat this process to the last two stitches; skip st and make DC in the last stitch. Turn your work
Row 3: CH 3, DC 3 in the middle of the V st, *DC in the next chain space, DC 2 over DC 2, DC in the next chain space, DC 3 in the middle of the V st *repeat this process except for the last stitch, DC in the last st. Total of 26 sts. Turn your work
