You will need:
Yarn 250 g / 575 m / 630 yds
Ball (50g) contains 115 m / 126 yds
Hook Size 3.5 mm (US 4)
Size: M
Width = 43 cm / 17 in
Length = 51,5 cm / 20.2 in
Terminology:
st – stitch
Rnd / Row – round / row
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet (yarn over the hook once)
Crossed st – 2 crossed DC (Skip stitch and make DC in the next stitch. Then, make DC in the skipped stitch in front of the previous stitch.)
Instructions:
First, I’m going to make hem
Ribbed pattern
To begin make chain 11
Row 1: skip chain and make one single crochet (SC) in each chain across. Total 10 SC. Turn your work.
Row 2: We’re going to single crochet into to back loop of every stitch all the way across and then we’re going to repeat this row until we have a total of 140 rows (or any multiple of 4).
Rows 3 – 140: Repeat Row 2
Keep repeating row 2 in the same way, to get a total of 140 rows.
If you need a different size, make more or fewer rows.
Different sizes:
S = 132 rows
M = 140 rows
L = 148 rows
XL = 156 rows
XXL = 164 rows
Multiple of 4 for all sizes
Next, we’re going to slip stitch the two ends together.
Now, we’re going to crochet around (body of Top)
Rnd 1: Chain one and then we’re going to make 140 SC all the way around. One row one loop (140 rows = 140 SC) or any multiple of 4. Slip stitch to that first SC just to close the round.
If you need a different size, make more or fewer rows.
Chain one and turn your work. Make sure that at the end of every round you turn your work.
Rnd 2: This is the wrong side. Make one HDC in each stitch across. Total 140 HDC. Slip stitch to that first HDC just to close the round. Chain 3 and turn your work. (CH 3 is the first stitch in the next row – 3rd).
Rnd 3: This is the right side. DC in the next st; Now, we’re going to make Crossed st; DC one in the next two sts; Crossed st; *DC one in the next two sts, Crossed st *repeat entire row; Slip stitch to that first st just to close the round. Chain one and turn your work.
Rnds 2 – 3 = Pattern
Keep repeating rows 2 – 3 in the same way, to get a total of 38 rows.
If you want, you can make more rows to make the top longer.
Width = 43 cm / 17 in
Length = 36 cm / 14 in
Now We are going to make shoulder straps
Count 9 stitches from the beginning of the row. Put the stitch marker in the 10th stitch. Count 10 stitches and put the second stitch marker.
Between the first two markers, there will be one shoulder strap.
Count 34 stitches and put the third stitch marker. Count 10 stitches and put the fourth stitch marker.
Between the third and fourth markers, there will be another shoulder strap.
These are the shoulder straps on the front of the blouse.
Count 18 stitches and put the fifth stitch marker. Count 10 stitches and put the sixth stitch marker.
Between these two markers, there will be one shoulder strap on the back of the blouse.
Count 30 stitches and put the seventh stitch marker. Count 10 stitches and put the eighth stitch marker.
Between these two markers, there will be another shoulder strap on the back of the blouse.
Shoulder straps
Row 1: CH one, HDC in the first stitch; make one HDC in each stitch across. Total 10 HDC. Chain one and turn your work.
Row 2: HDC in the first stitch; make one HDC in each stitch across. Total 10 HDC. Chain one and turn your work.
Repeat Row 2 until we have a total of 38 rows. (31 cm ≈ 12 in)
It’s up to you to determine how many rows you want to make for the shoulder strap.
Once you’ve completed the first shoulder strap, You’ll repeat the process for the other shoulder strap.
Connect the shoulder strap with the back of the blouse. Use the sewing needle and yarn. Sew on the right side.
If you want, you can make an edge (one row of single crochet stitches).
