You can see Step by step instructions and a video tutorial on how to crochet a very simple summer top.
This easy crochet top is very cozy, slouchy, and comfy to wear.
This top is crocheted in 2 panels – front and back.
I will show you how to make a size M.

Instructions:

I’m going to make the first 48 rows.

FRONT

Make 77 chains (for size M). Multiple of 2 plus 1
If you need a different size, feel free to either add or subtract from this chain number.
See the initial number of chains for other sizes.

Different sizes:
S = 71 chains
M = 77 chains
L = 83 chains
XL = 89 chains
XXL = 95 chains
Multiple of 2 + 1 for all sizes

Row 1: Skip chain one and make single crochet stitches (SC). Make one SC in each chain across. Total 76 SCs (SC multiple of 2). Turn your work.
Row 2: CH 3 (as the first stitch), DC in the next st. Make one DC in each stitch across. Total 76 stitches.
Row 3: CH one and make SC in the first st. Make one SC in each stitch across.Total 76 stitches.

Keep repeating rows 2 – 3 in the same way, to get a total of 40 rows.
If you want, you can make more rows to make the top longer.

We’ll reduce the number of stitches in the next 8 rows. Two stitches in every of 8 rows.

Row 41: CH 2., FPDC one in the next three sts., SC2tog, SC one in each stitch across, except the last 6 stitches, SC2tog, FPDC one in the next 4 sts. Total 74 sts. Turn your work.
