269 – Easy Crochet Slippers Tutorial

You can see step by step instructions and a video tutorial on how to crochet very simple slippers. This is a very simple crochet pattern worked primarily using single crochet stitches.
You need to know how to crochet chain stitch and single crochet stitches.

You will need:
Hook Size 4 mm
Sewing needle
Tape measure
Stitch markers
Total Yarn 100 g (284 m / 310 yards)
Ball contains 50 g (3 oz) = 142 m /155 yds

Size: Adults – 24 cm / 9.5 inches
Size of shoes:
EUR & CN = 38-40
US = 6.5 – 7.5
UK = 4.5 – 5.5

Terminology:
st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet 

Instructions:
To begin make 40 chains (Size: 24 cm / 9.5 inches).
For a longer or shorter slippers, do a few chains more or less.

Row 1: skip first chain and make SC to the end row. Total 39 SCs. Turn your work.

Rows 2 – 39: begin without chain, SC in the first stitch; make SC in the back loops to the last st; SC in the last stitch; Total 39 SCs. 

You’re going to make rows until slippers wide enough to wrap around your foot.
This pattern is stretchy enough and very comfortable.
Put a stitch marker on two thirds of rows (row 26th)
Sew with yarn and sewing needle until the stitch marker.
Then, pull yarn as tight as you can.
Thread the needle through the first loop of the first row.
Sew the top of the slipper.
Then, close the two side together.
You have to determine how big you want the opening to be.
Sew heel with yarn and sewing needle.
