264 – Knitting Tutorial – Black Sparkly Hat

You will need:

Knitting needles size 5 mm
Black shiny yarn 100 g (437 yds/ 400 m). I’ll be holding two strands of yarn together.
Sew needle

Size: Adult
Width = 19 cm/ 7,5 inches
Length = 21 cm /8,2 inches
This pattern is stretchy enough and very comfortable.
If you need a different size, feel free to either add or subtract from this row number.

Instruction:

We’ll be holding two strands of yarn together for this pattern.
Take a long amount of yarn (approximately 1.1 yards /1m).
Make 102 loops (Multiple of 4 + 2)
Then, you’re going to knit Ribbed pattern (2 x 2 rib is formed by alternating 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches).
It’s alternating 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches.
This pattern is stretchy enough and very comfortable.
Row 1: *make 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches *repeat this process; 2 knit stitches are the last 2 stitches
Row 2: *make 2 purl stitches, 2 knit stitches *repeat this process; 2 purl stitches are the last 2 stitches
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until you feel that your hat is long enough (20cm /8 inches).

We’ll reduce the number of stitches in the next 3 rows.
Make two loops together.
2 knit stitches knit together. Make knit stitch.
Thread the sew needle and yarn through each loop. Then, pull yarn as tight as you can and close the two side together. Sew hat with a sew needle.
