Instructions:

We are going to use 2 patterns (Ribbed and Zig Zag).

Ribbed pattern (Turtleneck)

First we’re going to use a Gray-colored yarn.
To begin make 18 chains (14 cm / 5.5 inches).

Row 1: skip first chain and make SC to the end row. Total 17 SC. Turn your work.

Rows 2 – 80: CH; make SC in the back loops to the end row; Total 17 SC.

Turn your work on the side and make double crochet stitches. One row one loop.
Row 1: I will be adding loops in this row.
CH 2 (it’s not a loop) and make DC in the next 7 rows; DC 2 in the next row; *DC 7, DC 2 into the same place * repeat this process to the end row. Connect with a sl.st. Total 90 sts.
Row 2: In this row I continue to add loops.
CH 2 (it’s not a loop) and make DC in the next 8 st; *DC 2 in the next st, DC 8 *repeat this process to the last st. DC in the last stitch. Connect with a sl.st. Total 99 DC.
We need this number of loops for the pattern we will be doing.
If you need a different size, feel free to either add or subtract from this row number. Remember, stitches multiple of 7 + 1, in the last row.

Zig Zag pattern

There are 99 stitches (Multiple of 7 + 1).
Row 1: CH 4, V-st in the next st, CH, DC, CH, *DC3tog, CH, DC, CH, V-st, CH 2, V-st, CH, DC, CH *repeat this process; DC3tog, CH, DC, CH, V-st, CH. Connect with a sl.st
Row 2: CH 4, V-st in the next chain one space, CH, DC in the next chain one space, CH, *DC3tog, CH, DC in the next chain one space, CH, V-st + CH 2 + V-st in the next chain two space, CH, DC in the next chain one space, CH *repeat this process; DC3tog, CH, DC in the next chain one space, CH, V-st in the last chain one space, CH.
