Cute crochet baby girl hat in colorful made in premium acrylic baby yarn, which is very soft, lightweight and could be machine washable.
This is a very simple hat and easy to make. It’s extremely soft and comfortable.
You need to know how to crochet the next stitches: chain stitch, single crochet stitches, double crochet stitches and Shell stitches

Terminology:
st – Stitch
sl.st – Slip Stitch
Rnd – Round/Row
CH – Chain Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
5DCShell – DC 5 all into the same stitch
You will need:
Hook Size 4 mm
Scissors
Tape measure
Total Yarn 50 g
100 g – 262 yds/ 240 m
100 g – Oz 3.53
Size: 3 – 6 months
Crown Width: 13 cm / 5 inches
Hat Circumference: 41 cm / 16 inches
Hat Height: 16 cm / 6,2 inches
To make it larger or smaller all you need to do is alter the number of loops in rows and number of rows! It’s a good idea to measure your work.
Instructions:
4 chains in a circle (connect with a sl.st)
Rnd 1: CH 2 (does not count as a stitch); DC 12 into the center of the ring; Connect with a sl.st; Total 12 DC
Rnd 2: CH 2 (does not count as a stitch); DC 2 into the first stitch; DC 2 in each stitch until the end of the row. Connect with a sl.st; Total 24 DC
Rnd 3: CH 2 (does not count as a stitch); DC 2 into the first stitch; DC one in the next st; *DC 2 into the same stitch, DC one in the next st *repeat this process entire row; Connect with a sl.st; Total 36 DC
Rnd 4: CH 2 (does not count as a stitch); DC 2 into the first stitch; DC in the next two sts; *DC 2 into the same stitch, DC in the next two sts *repeat this process entire row; Connect with a sl.st; Total 48 DC
Rnd 5: CH 2 (does not count as a stitch); DC 2 into the first stitch; DC in the next three sts; *DC 2 into the same stitch, DC in the next three sts *repeat this process entire row; Connect with a sl.st; Total 60 DC
Crown Width: 13 cm / 5 inches
Rnds 6-7: CH 2 (does not count as a stitch); DC in the next 60 sts; Connect with a sl.st; Total 60 DC
Rnd 8: In this round we are going to be starting the shells. The number of loops multiple of 6.
CH, SC in the first st, skip 2 sts, Shell (DC 5 all into the same stitch), skip 2 sts, *SC, skip 2 sts, Shell, skip 2 sts *repeat that all the way around; skip 2 sts and connect with a sl.st.
Rnd 9: CH 2 (does not count as a stitch); Shell in the first stitch; SC into the top or middle of the shell from last round; *Shell over SC; SC into the middle of the Shell *repeat this process; Connect with a sl.st
Rnd 10: 2 slip sts; CH one and make SC into the middle of the shell; Shell over SC; *SC into the middle of the Shell; Shell over SC * repeat this process; Connect with a sl.st
Rnds 11 – 19: Repeat rounds 9 and 10
Repeat rounds 9 and 10 until you feel that your hat is long enough.
If you need a different size, feel free to either add or subtract from this chain and row number.
