You will need:
Hook Size 4 mm
Scissors
Tape measure
Stitch markers
Total Baby Yarn 150 g
100 g – 262 yds/ 240 m
100 g – Oz 3.53
Size: 3 – 6 months
Terminology:
st – stitch
sts – stitches
sk – skip
Rnd – Round/Row
sl st – slip stitch
CH – Chain Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
V st – DC 2 with CH one
4DCShell – 4 double crochet with chain one (DC2 + CH + DC2 into the same stitch)
5DCShell – DC 5 all into the same stitch
Instructions:
Make 48 chains plus one for turn (Total CH 49)
Row 1: skip CH one and make SC in the next 7 CHs, CH one (put the stitch marker in the chain space), SC in the next 10 CHs, CH one (put the stitch marker in the chain space), SC in the next 14 CHs, CH one (put the stitch marker in the chain space), SC in the next 10 CHs, CH one (put the stitch marker in the chain space), SC in the next 7 CHs, turn your work
Row 2: CH 3 (as first st), DC in the next 6 sts; V st in the chain space (move the marker), DC in the next 10 sts, V st in the chain space (move the marker), DC in the next 14 sts, V st in the chain space (move the marker), DC in the next 10 sts, V st in the chain space (move the marker), DC in the next 7 sts, turn your work
Row 3: CH 3 (as first st), DC in the next 7 sts; V st over V st, DC in the next 12 sts, V st over V st, DC in the next 16 sts, V st over V st, DC in the next 12 sts, V st over V st, DC in the next 8 sts, turn your work
Row 4: CH 3 (as first st), DC in the next 8 sts; V st over V st, DC in the next 14 sts,
V st over V st, DC in the next 18 sts, V st over V st, DC in the next 14 sts, V st over V st, DC in the next 9 sts, turn your work
Row 5: CH 3 (as first st), DC in the next 9 sts; V st over V st, DC in the next 16 sts,

Row 6: CH 3 (as first st), DC in the next 10 sts; V st over V st, DC in the next 18 sts,
V st over V st, DC in the next 22 sts, V st over V st, DC in the next 18 sts, V st over V st, DC in the next 11 sts, turn your work
Row 7: CH 3 (as first st), DC in the next 11 sts; V st over V st, DC in the next 20 sts,
V st over V st, DC in the next 24 sts, V st over V st, DC in the next 20 sts, V st over Vst, DC in the next 12 sts, turn your work
Row 8: CH 3 (as first st); DC in the next 12 sts; DC 2 into the V st; CH 3; skip 22 sts; DC 2 into the next V st; DC in the next 26 sts; DC 2 into the next V st; CH 3; skip 22 sts; DC 2 into the next V st; DC in the next 13 sts; Turn your work
Row 9: CH 3 (as first st); skip 1 st; 4DCShell with chain one (Shell), *skip 2 sts; Shell *repeat 4 times;
skip three chains; Shell in the next st; *skip 2 sts; Shell *repeat 9 times; skip 2 sts; Shell in the first chain; skip 2 chains; Shell in the next st; *skip 2 sts; Shell *repeat 4 times; skip 1 st and make DC in the last st; Total 21 Shells; Turn your work
Row 10: CH 3 (as first st); *Shell over Shell *repeat to the end row; DC in the last st; Total 21 Shells
Rows 11 – 22: Repeat Row 10
Row 23: CH 3 (as first st); *DC 5 into the chain space of the shell from last row *repeat entire row; DC in the last st
Edges – Front sides
Side with button holes:
Two rows just single crochet stitches.
Third row: Put the stitch marcer into the second stitch from the top. Skip 7 sts and put the second stitch marker; skip 7 sts and put the third stitch marker; repeat this process until you have five stitch markers.
Then you crochet third row: CH and make SC to the first stitch marker; CH 2, skip st, SC to the next stitch marker; repeat this process until you finish 5 button holes; SC in the last st.
Side without button holes: Make three rows just single crochet stitches.
Edges – neck: Make one row of Shell stitches. SC 2 in the last st, SC in the first stitch, skip 2 st, Shell (DC 5 all into the same stitch), skip 2 sts, SC one, skip 2 sts, Shell, skip 2 sts, *SC, skip 2 sts, Shell, skip 2 sts *repeat this process; SC one and SC 2 into the last sts.
Sleeves
Rnd 1: CH 3 (as first st) into 3 chains space; DC + CH + DC 2 into 3 chains space (This is the first Shell); Shell in the first st; *skip 2 sts; Shell *repeat 7 times; Total 9 Shells; Connect with a sl st; Make 2 sl sts
Rnds 2 – 10: CH 3 (as first st) in the middle of the first Shell; DC + CH + DC2 in the middle of the first Shell; *Shell over Shell *repeat to the end row; Total 9 Shells; Connect with a sl st; Make 2 sl sts
Last 5 rows we will make a single crochet stitches.
Rnd 10: CH one, SC into the first st; skip st, SC, *skip st, SC * repeat entire row; Connect with a sl st
Rnds 11-14: CH one, SC to the end row; Connect with a sl st
