Terminology:

st – stitch

sts – stitches

CH – chain stitch

SC – single crochet stitch

DC – double crochet stitch

DCBLO – double crochet back loop only

Instructions:

To begin, chains multiple of 3 + 1

Use a beige color of yarn (just one row)

Row 1: skip 3 chains and make DC in the fourth chain. Make DC in every chain across.

Switch to a pink-colored yarn.

Row 2: CH and turn; make SC in the first st. CH 3,  skip DC 3 and make SC between third and fourth DC, CH 3,  skip DC 3 *SC between third and fourth DC, CH 3,  skip DC 3 *repeat this process,

SC in the last st.

Row 3: CH 3 and turn; DC over DC, DCBLO over DC, DC over DC, skip SC, DC over DC, DCBLO over DC, DC over DC, *skip SC, DC over DC, DCBLO over DC, DC over DC *repeat this process, DC in the last st.

Switch to a white-colored yarn.

 Row 4: CH and turn; make SC in the first st. CH 3,  skip DC 3 and make SC over the SC one row down, CH3,  skip DC 3 *SC over the SC one row down, CH 3,  skip DC 3 *repeat this process,

SC in the last st.
