426 – How to Crochet an Easy Winter Beanie – Super Quick Gift

I used a very simple interesting pattern.
I used two colors of yarn.
You will need:
Green yarn approximately 100 g / 210 m / 230 yds (with pom pom)
Beige yarn approximately 20 g / 42 m / 46 yds
Ball (100 g – 3.53 Oz) 210 m – 230 yds
Hook Size 4,5 mm (US 7, UK 7)
Hook Size 5 mm (US H/8, UK 6)
Sewing needle

Terminology:
st – stitch
sts – stitches
sl.st. – slip stitch
Rnd – Round/Row
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet st
SCBLO – single crochet back loop only
DC – double crochet (yarn over the hook once)
Crossed DC – the crossed double crochet stitches
DC2tog – double crochet two stitches together
SC2tog – single crochet two stitches together
Size: Adult
Width: 24 cm / 9.4 inches
Length: 24 cm / 9.4 inches (31 cm / 12.2 in)
This is an adult beanie and you can easily adjust it to your size.
Instructions:
Ribbed pattern
We start work with green yarn and hook size 4,5 mm (US 7, UK 7)
Make 11 chains.
Row 1: skip chain and make single crochet stitch (SC) in each of the next 10 chains, Total 10 SCs.
Row 2: CH one and turn, make SC in the back loop only (SCBLO) in each of the next 10 stitches; Total 10 SCs
Rows 3 – 68: repeat Row 2
Total 68 rows = approximately 48 cm / 18.9 in
10 SCs = 7 cm / 2.6 in
Row multiple of 2 (because of the pattern we are going to do)
If you need a different size, make more or fewer rows or more or fewer stitches in the row.
Connect the first and the last row with slip stitches.
Now, We continue to work in a circle
Rnd 1: Chain and make SC one in every stitch across. One row one stitch (68 rows / 68 SCs).
Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round. Total 68 SCs.
Use hook Size 5 mm (US H/8, UK 6)
Rnd 2: CH 2 (don’t count as a loop), DC in every stitch across; Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round. Total 68 DCs.
Rnd 3: CH one and make SC in every stitch across. Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round. Total 68 SCs.
Rnd 4: CH 2 (don’t count as a loop), Skip the first stitch and make DC in the next stitch. Then, make DC in the skipped stitch work in front of the previous stitch. This is the crossed DC. Make crossed DC stitches to the end of the row. Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round.
Rnds 2 – 4 = Pattern
Repeat the pattern 2 times
Now we have a total of 7 rows.
Change color yarn (beige color of yarn)
Repeat the pattern 2 times
Now we have a total of 13 rows.
Change color yarn (green color of yarn)
Repeat the pattern one time
Now we have a total of 16 rows.
Use hook size 4,5 mm (US 7, UK 7)
Rnd 17: CH 2 (don’t count as a loop), DC in every stitch across; Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round. Total 68 DCs.
Rnd 18: CH one and make SC in every stitch across. Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round. Total 68 SCs.
In the next rows, we will decrease the number of stitches.
Rnd 19: CH 2 (don’t count as a loop), DC one in the next 2 sts, DC2tog *DC one in the next 2 sts, DC2tog *repeat this process
Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round.
Rnd 20: CH 2 (don’t count as a loop), DC one in the next st, DC2tog
*DC one in the next sts, DC2tog *repeat this process
Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round.
Rnd 21: CH 2 (don’t count as a loop), DC2tog entire row
Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round.
Rnd 22: CH 2 (don’t count as a loop), DC2tog entire row
Slip stitch to the first st just to close the round.
Make a pom pom as you wish.
