362 – How to Crochet Shell Stitch Pattern for the Baby Blanket – Two Colors

You will need:
You can use baby yarn and hook according to the one recommended by the yarn.

Terminology:
st. – stitch
sts – stitches
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
DC – double crochet stitch

Instructions:

To begin, chains multiple of 5 + 3

Row 1: skip chain and make SC in the second chain, make SC in every chain across.

Row 2: CH one and turn, SC in the next 2 stitches, CH 3, skip 3 sts and make SC in the next 2 sts., *CH 3, skip 3 sts, SC 2 *repeat this process to the end row.

Row 3: CH 3 and turn, Shell (DC5) in the first chain space *Shell (DC5) in every chain space across *repeat this process to the end row; DC in the last stitch.
Switch to a different color yarn.

Row 4: CH one and turn, SC in the next 2 stitches, CH 3, skip 3 sts and make SC in the next 2 sts., *CH 3, skip 3 sts, SC 2 *repeat this process to the end row.

Rows 3 – 4 = Pattern
Continue repeat Rows 3 – 4

Change color yarn every two rows.

Last Row: SC stitches
