You will need:
Cotton Yarn 200 g / 340 m / 372 yds
Ball Weight: 50g (1.8oz)
Yarn Length: 85 m (93 yds)
Hook Size 3.5 mm (US 4)
Hook Size 4 mm (US 6)
Size: M
Width = 44 cm / 17.2 in
Length = 48 cm / 19 in
Terminology:
st – stitch
sl.st – slip stitch
Rnd / Row – round / row
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet (yarn over the hook once)
Instructions:
First, I’m going to make hem
Ribbed pattern
Hook Size 3.5 mm (US 4)
To begin make chain 26
Row 1: skip chain and make one single crochet (SC) in each chain across. Total 25 SC. Turn your work.
Row 2: We’re going to single crochet into to back loop of every stitch all the way across and then we’re going to repeat this row until we have a total of 123 rows (or any multiple of 3).
Rows 3 – 123: Repeat Row 2
Keep repeating row 2 in the same way, to get a total of 123 rows.
This pattern is stretchy enough and very comfortable
Width = 12,5 cm / 5 in
Length = 74 cm / 29 in
If you need a different size, make more or fewer rows.
Different sizes:
S = 111 rows
M = 123 rows
L = 135 rows
XL = 147 rows
XXL = 159 rows
Multiple of 3 for all sizes
Next, we’re going to slip stitch the two ends together.
Now, we’re going to crochet around (body of Top)
Hook Size 4 mm (US 6)
Rnd 1: Chain one and then we’re going to make 123 SC all the way around. One row one loop (123 rows = 123 SC) or any multiple of 3. Slip stitch to that first SC just to close the round.
Rnd 2: CH 3, DC in the next st., CH one, skip st, DC in the next two sts, *CH one, skip st, DC in the next two sts *repeat entire row except for the last stitch; skip the last st, chain and make a slip stitch to the first st just to close the round
Rnd 3: CH one and make SC in the last chain space of the previous row; CH 2, *SC in the next chain space, CH 2 *repeat entire row; slip stitch to the first SC just to close the round.
Rnd 4: Slip stitch in the first chain space, CH 3, DC in the first chain space, CH one, *DC 2 in the next chain two space, CH one *repeat entire row; make a slip stitch to the first st just to close the round
Rnds 3 – 4 = Pattern
Keep repeating rows 3 – 4 in the same way, to get a total of 20 rows.
Rnd 21: SC stitches
Length = 18.5 cm / 7.2 in
If you want, you can make more rows to make the top longer.
Now We are going to make shoulder straps.
Put the markers, on the front, so that the distance between the internal markers is 22 cm / 8.5 inches.
The width of the shoulder strap is 5 cm / 2 inches.
Shoulder straps
Hook Size 3.5 mm (US 4)
Row 1: CH one, HDC in the first stitch; make one HDC in each stitch across. Total 7 HDC. Chain one and turn your work.
Row 2: HDC in the first stitch; make one HDC in each stitch across. Total 7 HDC. Chain one and turn your work.
Repeat Row 2 until we have a total of 38 rows. (31 cm ≈ 12 in)
It’s up to you to determine how many rows you want to make for the shoulder strap.
Once you’ve completed the first shoulder strap, You’ll repeat the process for the other shoulder strap.
Measure 18 cm / 7.1 inches from the shoulder strap and put the stitch marker. Measure 5 cm / 2 in from this stitch marker and put another stitch marker. That’s where we’ll sew a shoulder strap.
Do the same on the other side
Connect the shoulder strap with the back of the blouse. Use the sewing needle and yarn.
Sew on the right side.
The distance between the straps on the front is greater than on the back.
Make a cord 180 cm / 70.8 in length (chains).
