318 – Tutorial – Crochet Elongated Stitches Pattern

You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.

Terminology:
st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
Elongated st – Yarn over the hook, and then insert the hook into the next stitch. Yarn over the hook, and draw up a loop. Yarn over the hook and draw the yarn through 2 loops on the hook. Extend this loop.

Instructions:

To begin, chain 12 or any multiple of 2

Row 1: Skip chain and make SC in the second chain. Make one SC in each chain across. Total 11 SC. (multiple of 2 plus 1)

Row 2: make SC in the first st. Extend this loop; *Yarn over the hook, and then insert the hook into the next stitch. Yarn over the hook, and draw up a loop. Yarn over the hook and draw the yarn through 2 loops on the hook. Extend this loop. *repeat this process

Row 3: SC, CH, SC one in the next two st together, *CH, SC one in the next two st together *repeat this process;

Continue to repeat rows 2 – 3 in the same way.
