You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.
Terminology:
st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
DC – double crochet stitch
Puff st. – represents a group of 3 incomplete stitches into the same stitch/place. When you finish crocheting the partial stitches you will then close the stitch by pulling the yarn through all of the loops, except for the last. Now, you have 2 loops on the hook. Make one loop from them.
Instructions:
To begin, make chains (multiple of 10 plus 9)
Row 1: skip 3 chains and make double crochet stitch (DC) in the 4th chain, DC entire row.
Row 2: CH 3, DC in the next 5 sts, skip 2 sts, Puff st + CH + Puff st + CH + Puff st in one stitch, skip 2 sts *DC5, skip 2 sts, Puff st + CH + Puff st + CH + Puff st in one stitch, skip 2 sts *repeat entire row except for the last 6 stitches; DC in the last 6 sts.
Row 3: CH 3, DC entire row
Row 4: CH 3, skip 2 sts, Puff st + CH + Puff st + CH + Puff st in one stitch, skip 2 sts *DC5, skip 2 sts, Puff st + CH + Puff st + CH + Puff st in one stitch, skip 2 sts *repeat entire row except for the last st; DC in the last st.
Row 5: CH 3, DC entire row
Pattern = Rows 2 – 5
