309 – Learn How to Crochet Shell Stitch Pattern

You need to know how to crochet the next stitches: chain stitch, double crochet stitches, and shell stitches.

Terminology:
st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
DC – double crochet
DC5Shell – DC 5 all into the same stitch

You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.

Instructions:

Make chains (multiple of 6 plus 4)

Row 1: skip 3 chains and make two double crochet stitches (DC) in the 4th chain, skip 2 chains, DC, *skip 2 chains, DC5Shell, skip 2 chains, DC *repeat this process; skip 2 chains, DC 3 in the last chain.

Row 2: CH 3, skip 2 sts, *DC5Shell, skip 2 sts, DC *repeat this process

Row 3: CH 3, DC 2 in the first stitch, skip 2 sts, DC, *skip 2 st, DC5Shell, skip 2 sts, DC *repeat this process; skip2 sts, DC 3 in the last stitch.

Pattern = Rows 2 – 3
