303 – Easy Crochet Fingerless Gloves

You will need:
I used 2 balls of yarn (100 g / 200 m / 218 yds)
Ball Weight: 50 g (medium)
Yarn Length: 100 m (109 yds)
Hook Size 4.5 mm (US 7)
Terminology:
st – stitch
sl.st – slip stitch
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet (yarn over the hook once)
Instructions:
Gloves edging
First, I’m going to make gloves edging.
To begin make 15 chains.
Row 1: skip chain and make SC entire row. Total 14 SCs. Turn your work.
Rows 2 – 28: CH; make SC in the back loops entire row; Total 14 SCs
Gloves edging is very stretchy
If you need a different size, make more or fewer rows. Measure on your hands.
Sew first and the last row with slip stitches.
Now, we’re going to crochet around the gloves edging.
Rnd 1: I will make Single crochet stitches (SC). One row one loop (28 rows = 28 SC stitches)
Rnd 2: I’m going to add 4 more stitches in this row.
CH, SC in the next 6 sts; SC 2 in the next st, *SC in the next 6 sts; SC 2 in the next st *repeat entire row; Total 32 sts.
Rnd 3: In this row add 2 more stitches (one loop at the beginning and one at the end of the row)
CH 3, DC in the first stitch, DC entire row, except the last stitch; DC 2 in the last st. Total 34 sts. Join with a slip stitch.
Rnd 4: CH, SC entire row; Total 34 sts. Join with a slip stitch.
Rnd 5: In this row add 2 more stitches (one loop at the beginning and one at the end of the row)
CH 3, DC in the first stitch, DC entire row, except the last stitch; DC 2 in the last st. Total 36 sts. Join with a slip stitch.
Rnd 6: CH, SC entire row; Total 36 sts. Join with a slip stitch.
Rnd 7: In this row add 2 more stitches (one loop at the beginning and one at the end of the row)
CH 3, DC in the first stitch, DC entire row, except the last stitch; DC 2 in the last st. Total 38 sts. Join with a slip stitch.
Rnd 8: CH, SC entire row; Total 38 sts. Join with a slip stitch.
Rnd 9: In this row add 2 more stitches (one loop at the beginning and one at the end of the row)
CH 3, DC in the first stitch, DC entire row, except the last stitch; DC 2 in the last st. Total 40 sts. Join with a slip stitch.
Put the stitch marker between 11 loops. It will be a thumb hole.
The larger hole will be the hole for the other fingers.
I’ll make the part for the other fingers first.
Continue to crochet around.
Rnd 1: CH, SC entire row. Join with a slip stitch.
Rnd 2: CH 2 (don’t count as a loop), DC entire row. Join with a slip stitch.
Keep working these two rows alternately until you have done seven rows.
If you want, make more or fewer rows.
Thumbhole
Rnd 1: CH, SC entire row. Total 13 SCs. Join with a slip stitch
Rnd 2: CH 2 (don’t count as a loop), DC entire row. Total 13 DCs.
Rnd 3: CH, SC entire row. Total 13 SCs.
