You will need:
Hook Size 4 mm
Yarn 500 g
10 balls of beige cotton yarn
Each ball contains 92 yds / 85 m

Terminology:
st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
TC – treble crochet
Shell – 4TCShell with picot loop (2 TC + picot loop + 2 TC in one place)

How to make a shell?
All loops we’ll make in one place.

  • 2 TC (treble crochet)
  • Picot loop – Create three chain stitches (CH 3). Insert your hook in the third chain from the hook and make slip stitch.
  • 2 TC

Instructions:

Row 1: Make 5 chains; skip 4 chains; TC in the 5th chain; Picot loop; TC 2. Turn your work.
Row 2: first shell in the first stitch (CH 4; TC; Picot loop; TC 2); second (last) shell in the last stitch (TC 2; Picot loop; TC 2). Total 2 shells. Turn your work.
Row 3: first shell in the first stitch (CH 4; TC; Picot loop; TC 2); second shell between two shells from previous row (TC 2; Picot loop; TC 2); third shell in the last stitch (TC 2; Picot loop; TC 2). Total 3 shells. Turn your work.

Repeat this process in each of the following rows.
