You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.
I used a hook size 3.5 mm and a cotton yarn 50 g (94 yds / 125 m).
Terminology:
st – Stitch
CH – Chain Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
V st = DC + CH 2 + DC in one place
Instructions:
Start to chains (Multiple of 7 plus 5)
I’ll make 26 chains.
Row 1: skip 5 chains, double crochet stitch (DC) in the sixth chain, skip 2 chains, single crochet (SC), skip 2 chains, V st (DC + CH 2 + DC in one place), *V st in the next stitch, skip CH 2, SC, skip CH 2, V st *repeat to the end row. Turn your work.
Row 2: CH 3, DC 3 in a chain space, SC over SC, DC 4 in the next chain space, skip DC 2, DC 4 in a chain space, SC over SC, *DC 4 in a chain space, skip DC 2, DC 4 in a chain space, SC over SC *repeat to the end row. DC 4 in the last chain space. Turn your work.
Row 3: CH, SC in the first st, CH 5, skip 7 st, SC 2 in the next two st., CH 5, skip 7 st, *SC 2 in the next two st., CH 5, skip 7 st * repeat to the end row. SC in the last stitch. Turn your work.
Row 4: CH 5, DC in the first st, skip CH 2, SC, skip CH 2, V st over SC, V st over SC again, skip CH 2, SC, skip CH 2, V st over SC, *V st over SC, skip CH 2, SC, skip CH 2, V st over SC *repeat to the end row. Turn your work.
Row 5: as the second row
CH 3, DC 3 in a chain space, SC over SC, DC 4 in the next chain space, skip DC 2, DC 4 in a chain space, SC over SC, *DC 4 in a chain space, skip DC 2, DC 4 in a chain space, SC over SC *repeat to the end row. DC 4 in the last chain space. Turn your work.
Rows 3 – 5 = Pattern
Make Rows 1 – 2 once.
