Terminology:

Sst – slip stitch
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet (yarn over the hook once)
DC – double crochet (yarn over the hook once)
TC – treble crochet (yarn over the hook twice)
DTC – double treble crochet (yarn over the hook three times)
