163 – DIY Tutorial – Crochet Simple Slippers

This is a very simple crochet pattern worked primarily using double crochet stitches. This would be a great choice for a beginner’s first crochet slippers. These crochet slippers work up quickly using two strands of yarn held together.
You need to know how to crochet Slip Stitch (ss), Chain Stitch (ch), Double Crochet (dc), Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC)

You will need:

Hook Size 6 mm
Scissors
Tape measure
Sewing needle
Brown Yarn 200 g (7,05 oz)
2 balls of brown Cotton Yarn. Each ball contains 100 g, 219 yds/ 200 m
1 m = 1,0936 jardi (yds)

Size:
For adults; 24 cm / 9.5 inch
Size of shoes:
EUR & CN = 38-40
US = 6.5 – 7.5
UK = 4.5 – 5.5

Terminology:
st – Stitch
tog – Together
Rnd – Round
ch – Chain Stitch
dc – Double Crochet
FPDC – Front Post Double Crochet

Instructions:
Start 5 chains in a circle
Rnd 1: 3 ch, 11dc, ss, tie it tog, Total 12st
Rnd 2: 3 ch, 11 x 2dc in one stitch, ss, tie it tog, Total 23st
Rnd 3-10: 3 ch, 22dc, ss, tie it tog, Total 23st
Row 11-14: 3ch, 15dc, Total 16st
Ribbed stitches
Rnd 1: 3 ch, 24dc, ss, tie it tog, Total 25st
Rnd 2-5: 3 ch, FPDC, dc, FPDC, *dc, FPDC* – repeat entire rnd; Total 24st
