You will need:
– I used a total Yarn of approximately 100 g / Oz 3.53 / 460 m / 503 yds
– Knitting needles size 4 mm
– Sewing needle
If you are going to use thicker wool, then take thicker needles.
Size: Adult
Width = 20 cm/ 8 inches
Length = 35,5 cm /14 inches
This pattern is stretchy enough and very comfortable therefore, this size can be worn by adults and children. If you need a different size, feel free to either add or subtract from this row number. The number of stitches must be divisible by 4
Instruction:
Take a long amount of yarn (approximately 1.1 yards /1m).
To begin make 132 stitches (Multiple of 4) = 40 cm / 15.6 inches
Then, you’re going to knit a Ribbed pattern (2 x 2 rib is formed by alternating 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches).
It’s alternating 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches.
This pattern is stretchy enough and very comfortable.
Row 1: *make 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches *repeat this process to the end of the row
Row 2: *make 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches *repeat this process to the end of the row
Repeat the second row until your hat is long enough (33cm /13 inches).
Then, We’ll decrease (decr) the number of stitches in the next rows.
Row 1 (decr): *2 knit stitches together (decr), 2 purl stitches *repeat this process to the end of the row
Row 2: *2 knit stitches, 1 purl stitch *repeat this process to the end of the row
Row 3 (decr): *1 knit stitch, 2 purl stitches together (decr) *repeat this process to the end of the row
Row 4: *1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch *repeat this process to the end of the row
Row 5 (decr): make 2 knit stitches together (decr) to the end of the row
Row 6: make 1 purl stitch to the end of the row
Leave a long amount of yarn (approximately 1.1 yards /1m).
Thread the sewing needle and yarn through each loop. Then, pull the yarn as tight as you can and close the two sides together. Sew the hat with a sewing needle
