Terminology:
st – Stitch
CH – Chain Stitch
DC – Double Crochet
3DCShell – DC 3 all into the same stitch
5DCShell – DC 5 all into the same stitch

You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.

Instructions:

Make chains (multiple of 7 plus 2)

Row 1: skip 3 chains (as the first stitch), double crochet stitch (DC) in the next chain, skip chain (CH), 3DCShell, skip CH, *DC 4, skip CH, 3DCShell, skip CH *repeat entire row except for two last chains, DC in the last two chains. Turn your work.

Row 2: CH 3, skip 2 sts, 5DCShell, skip 2 sts, *DC 2, skip 2 sts, 5DCShell, skip 2 sts *repeat entire row except for the last stitch, DC in the last st. Turn your work.

Row 3: CH 3 (as first st), DC in the next st, skip st, 3DCShell, skip st, *DC 4, skip st, 3DCShell, skip st *repeat entire row except for two last sts, DC in the last two sts. Turn your work.
