You will need:
Hook Size 5 mm
Scissors
Tape measure
Sewing needle
Yarn 9 x 50g = 450g
9 balls of beige Yarn. Each ball contains 109 yds / 100m
Size: M – L
For larger size, the starting number of chains: 128+1, 132+1, 136+1, 140+1, 144+1…
Terminology:
st – Stitch
CH – Chain Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
Instructions:
Start 124 chains + 1 chain for turning. The number of chains must be divisible by four +1.
For larger size, the starting number of chains: 128+1, 132+1, 136+1, 140+1, 144+1…
Row 1: skip chain, SC, 2CH, skip 2CH, *2SC, 2CH, skip 2CH * repeat entire row. SC in the last stitch. Turn your work.
Row 2: 2CH, 3DC in the chain space, *4DC in the chain space * repeat entire row. 3DC in the last chain space, DC in the last stitch. Total 124 stitches. The number of stitches must be divisible by four. Turn your work.
Row 3: CH, SC in the first stitch, 2CH, skip 3DC, 2SC in a space, *2CH, skip 4DC, 2SC in a space *repeat entire row. 2CH, skip 3DC, SC in the last stitch. Turn your work.
Row 4: 2CH, 3DC in the chain space, *4DC in the chain space * repeat entire row. 3DC in the last chains space, DC in the last stitch. Total 124 stitches. The number of stitches must be divisible by four. Turn your work.
Rows 5 – 64: repeat rows 3 – 4
Row 65: as Row 3
Dimensions of cardigan: Width = 90cm /35.4 inches Length = 70cm / 27.5 inches
After 65 rows fold your work in half matching the top to the bottom. On the side for armholes, measure of about 17,5cm / 6.9 inches
Connect two sides with a sewing needle or with a hook (slip stitches).
Edge of armhole – Do in a circle. Rnd 1: SC48; Rnd 2: *SC with a chain *repeat entire rnd
Rnds 3-11: CH, SC, *SC in a chain space, CH, skip SC *repeat entire rnd
