This is a very simple hat and easy to make. You need to know how to crochet the next stitches: Chain Stitch, Single Crochet and Double Crochet stitches.

You will need:
Hook Size 5 mm
Scissors
Tape measure
Yarn 60g
2 balls of beige Yarn. Each ball contains 109 yds / 100 m
1 m = 1,0936 jardi (yds)
Size: Adult
Terminology:
st – Stitch
SSt – Slip Stitch
Rnd – Round
CH – Chain Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
V-st – 2 DC in one stitch
Shell – 4DC Shell with CH-2 space (2DC+2CH+2DC in one space)
Instructions:
Start – 4 chains in a circle.
Rnd 1: 3 chains (CH), 13 double crochet stitches (DC) into the center of the ring; Connect with a SSt; Total 14 stitches.
Rnd 2: 3 CH + DC in the first stitch, *V-st *repeat entire row; Connect with a SSt; Total 28 stitches.
Rnd 3: CH, 28 Single Crochet stitches (SC).
Rnd 4: 2 CH, DC in the first stitch, V-st, *DC, V-st *repeat entire row; Connect with a SSt; Total 42 stitches.
Rnd 5: CH, 42 SC.
Rnd 6: 2 CH, 2 DC, V-st, *2 DC, V-st *repeat entire row; Connect with a SSt; Total 56 st.
Rnd 7: CH, 56 SC.
Rnd 8: 2 CH, 3 DC, V-st, *3 DC, V-st *repeat entire row; Connect with a SSt; Total 70 st.
Rnd 9: CH, 70 SC Add one more SC stitch at the end row. Total 71 SC.
Rnd 10: 2 CH, 71 DC. Total 71 DC.
Rnds 11-14: repeat Rnds 9 and 10
Lace pattern
The final number of DC stitches must be divisible by six + 5
To begin this pattern it’s necessary to have 71 stitches.
Rnd 15: 3 CH, skip 2 st, Shell st, skip 2 st, *DC, skip 2 st, Shell, skip 2 st *repeat entire row; Connect with a SSt.
Rnds 16-20: 3CH, Shell over Shell, *DC over DC, Shell over Shell * repeat entire row; Connect with a SSt.
Rnd 21 (last row): CH, SC to the end row.
I love the hat, but I don’t understand the stitch number. For example row 4 and 5 how you go from 56 stitches to 28. Please help me understand I really love the look of the hat.
Sorry, that is mistake. There are 42 stitches in Row 4 and 42 stitches in Row 5. I corrected the mistake.
