168 – DIY Tutorial Crochet Colorful Triangle Scarf
This work is for absolute beginners. This is a very simple crochet pattern worked primarily using double crochet stitches. You can see step by step written instruction and video tutorial how to crochet a colorful triangle scarf.
You need to know how to crochet Chain Stitch (CH) and Double Crochet (DC).

You will need:
Hook Size 4,5 mm
Colorful cotton yarn: 200 g (4 x 50 g)
Ball contains 93 yds/ 85 m
Scissors
Tape measure
Size:
Length: 200 cm / 78.74″
Terminology:
st – Stitch
tog – Together
CH – Chain Stitch
DC – Double Crochet
DC2tog – 2 DC together
Instructions:
Start – 7 chains
Row 1: skip 3 chains, Double crochet in each of the next 4 chains; Now we have 5 stitches in this row; Turn your work.
Row 2: 3 chains; Double crochet in the back loops only in the next 4 stitches; We are going to make one extra double crochet stitch in the last stitch; Now we have 6 stitches in this row; Turn your work.
Row 3: 3 chains; 5 DC in the back loops only; Total 6 stitches; Turn your work.
Row 4: 3 CH; Double crochet in the back loops only in the next 5 stitches; I’ll make increase on the end of this row; Total 7 stitches.
Row 5: 3 chains; 6 DC in the back loops only; Total 7 stitches; Turn your work.
We increase one stitch every two rows. Keep going like this until you have 35 stitches across. Now we have total 60 rows.
Row 61: 3 CH; 34 DC in the back loops only; Total 35 stitches
Now it’s time to decrease the number of loops on the other side.
Row 62: 3 CH; We make one DC in the next 32 stitches; Now we decrease one stitch. We make 2DC together. Total 34 stitches
Row 63: 3 CH; 33 DC in the back loops only; Total 34 stitches
We decrease one stitch every two rows. Keep going like this until you have 5 stitches across. Now we have total 120 rows.
