165 – DIY Tutorial – Crochet sweater for women with long sleeves (using lace motif)

You can see Step by step instruction and video tutorial how to crochet women’s lace sweater. This is a very simple crochet pattern worked primarily using double crochet stitches. This would be a great choice for a beginner’s first crochet sweater. Each piece of the sweater (back, front, sleeves) is worked separately. The instructions are for medium size.
You need to know how to crochet Slip Stitch (ss), Chain Stitch (ch), Single Crochet (sc), Double Crochet (dc), Treble Crochet (tc), Front Post Treble Crochet (FPTC), Back Post Treble Crochet (BPTC)

You will need:

Hook Size 3 mm
Scissors
Tape measure
Sewing needle
Brown Yarn 400 g 
8 balls of brown Cotton Yarn. Each ball contains 50 g, 137 yds / 125 m
1 m = 1,0936 jardi (yds)

Size:
Medium – M (Width = 47 cm / 18,5″; Length = 69 cm / 27″)
Gauge Pattern 1: 19 stitches x 11 rows = 10,16cm (4″) Square
Gauge Pattern 2: 11 dc with chain x 9 rows = 10,16cm (4″) Square

Other Bust Sizes:
S = 82cm-88cm/32″- 34,5″
M = 88cm-95cm/34″- 37,5″
L = 95cm-102cm/37,5″- 40″
XL = 102cm-108cm/40″- 42,5″

Terminology:
st – Stitch
sk – Skip
rpt – Repeat
Rnd – Round
ch – Chain Stitch
sc – Single Crochet
dc – Double Crochet
TC – Treble Crochet
FPTC (Front Post Treble Crochet)
BPTC (Back Post Treble Crochet)

Instructions:

FRONT

Pattern 1 – Ribbed stitches
Start 84 chains
Row 1: skip chain, 83 single crochet stitches
Row 2: 3 chains, 82 double crochet stitches; Total 83 stitches
Row 3: 3 ch, *FPTC, dc* – rpt entire row; Total 83 stitches
Row 4: 3 ch, *BPTC, dc* – rpt entire row; Total 83 stitches
Rows 5-8: repeat rows 3-4

Pattern 2
Row 1: 4ch, dc in the next stitch, *ch, sk st, dc, ch, sk st, dc, ch, dc* – rpt entire row;
Total 51 st with chain
Row 2: 4ch, dc over dc, *ch, dc over dc* – rpt entire row; Total 51 st with chain
Rows 3 – 6: repeat row 2
Row 7: 4ch, 20 dc with chain, 15dc, ch, 21 dc with chain, ch, dc
Rows 8 – 16: repeat row 2
Row 17: Add two more stitches on each side.
4ch, dc over chain, ch, 2 dc with chain, 15 dc, ch, 29 dc with chain, 15 dc, ch, 2 dc with chain, dc over chain, ch, dc
Rows 18 – 20: 4ch, 51 dc with chain, dc
Row 21: Add two more stitches on each side.
4ch, dc over chain, ch, 51 dc with chain, dc over chain, ch, dc
Rows 22 – 24: 4ch, 53 dc with chain, dc
Row 25: Add two more stitches on each side.
