142 – Easy Crochet Puff Stitches Coaster

Easy beginners tutorial to make this simple coaster with Puff stitches. Ideal for home decor and gifts.
You need to know how to crochet Chain Stitch (ch), Single Crochet (sc), Puff Stitch  (Puff st).
Puff Stitch represents a group 2 of incomplete stitches into the same stitch. When you finish crocheting the partial stitches you will then close the stitch by pulling the yarn through all of the loops that are remaining on the hook.

You will need:

Hook Size 3.5 mm
Cotton Yarn 50 g
Ball contains 137 yds/ 125 m
1 m = 1,0936 jardi (yds)

Terminology:
st – Stitch
ch – Chain Stitch
sc – Single Crochet
Puff St  – Puff Stitch

Instructions:
5 chains in a circle
Rnd 1: 1 ch, 10 sc into the center of the ring; tie it together;  Total 10 sc
Rnd 2: 4 ch, 10 Puff St with chain
Rnd 3:   4 ch, 1 Puff St, 1 ch, 2 Puff St with chain in one stitch, 1ch, 1 Puff St, 1ch
(2 Puff St with chain in one stitch, 1ch, 1 Puff St, 1ch  – repeat entire row)    
Tie it together;  Total 16 Puff St
Rnd 4: 4 ch, 1 Puff St, 1 ch, 1 Puff St, 1 ch, 2 Puff St with chain in one, 1 ch 1 Puff St, 1 ch, 1 Puff St, 1 ch …
*2 Puff St with chain in one stitch, 1 ch 1 Puff St, 1 ch, 1 Puff St, 1 ch* – repeat entire row
Rnd 5: ch, sc, 3ch, sc, 3 ch, sc, 3 ch… (sc, 3 ch – repeat entire row)
Rnd 6: crochet as Rnd 5
