You can see Step by step instructions and a video tutorial on how to crochet a vest using a very attractive and nice pattern. The vest is very warm.

You will need:

Cotton Yarn 400 g / 840 m / 920 yds
Ball (100 g – 3.53 Oz) 210 m – 230 yds
Hook Size 5,5 mm (US I/9, UK 5)

Size: M

Width: 50 cm / 19.5 in
Length: 50 cm / 19.5 in

Terminology:
st = stitch
sts = stitches
sl.st = slip stitch
CH = chain stitch
SC = single crochet stitch
DC = double crochet (yarn over the hook once)
FPTC = front post treble crochet (yarn over the hook twice)
DC2tog = DC 2 together

Instructions:

FRONT = BACK

To begin make 56 chains for size M or any multiple of 4
If you want a different size you can make more or fewer chains.

Row 1: skip CH and make SC one in the second chain and make another SC in an already-made SC (from one thread). It’s a first stitch. DC one in every chain across.

Row 2: CH one and turn; make SC one in every stitch across.

Row 3: turn and make SC in the first st, and make another SC in an already-made SC (from one thread). It’s a first stitch.
Make FPTC in the next stitch just one row down, skip st, DC in the next st, *FPTC in the next stitch just one row down, skip st, DC in the next st *repeat to the end of the row

Row 4: CH one and turn, make SC one in every stitch across.

Row 5: turn and make SC in the first st, and make another SC in an already-made SC (from one thread). It’s a first stitch.
DC in the next st, FPTC in the next stitch just one row down, skip st, DC in the next st, *FPTC in the next stitch just one row down, skip st, DC in the next st *repeat to the end of the row, DC in the last st.

Row 6: CH one and turn; make SC one in every stitch across.

Pattern = Rows 3-6

Repeat pattern (30 cm / 12 inches)
The last row must be single crochet stitches

If you want, you can make more rows to make the vest longer.

leave it 4 stitches on both sides and continue to repeat the pattern (20 cm / 8 in)

Use your yarn and sew the front and back pieces on the shoulders

Make high-neck
