413 – Quick and Easy Crochet Fingerless Gloves

You can see Step by step instructions and a video tutorial on how to crochet very easy fingerless gloves. It’s a very easy and fast project for beginners.

You will need:
I used yarn 100 g – 3.53 Oz / 210 m – 230 yds
Hook Size 4.5 mm (US 7, UK 7)
Hook Size 5,5 mm (US I/9, UK 5)

Terminology:
st – stitch
sts – stitches
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet
SCBLO – single crochet back loop only
DC – double crochet (yarn over the hook once)
DC4Shell – 4 DC in one stitch

Instructions:

Gloves edging

First, I’m going to make gloves edging.
Use Hook Size 4.5 mm (US 7, UK 7)

To begin make 12 chains.
Row 1: skip CH and make SC one in every chain across. Total 11 SCs.
Rows 2 – 25: CH one and turn; make SC in the back loop only (SCBLO) in every stitch across; Total 11 SCBLOs – 7 cm / 2.6 inches

Gloves edging is very stretchy.
If you need a different size, make more or fewer rows. Measure on your hands.

Use Hook Size 5,5 mm (US I/9, UK 5)

Row 1: I will make Single crochet stitches (SC). One row one loop (25 rows = 25 SC stitches) – (multiple of 4 + 1)
Rows 2 – 13: make single crochet stitches

Last Row:
CH one and make SC in the first st, skip one stitch, make DC4Shell (4 DC in one stitch) in the next st, skip one stitch, SC in the next st, *skip one st, DC4Shell, skip one st, SC *repeat to the end of the row

Fold the glove in half and stitch together leaving a thumb hole.
Put two markers for the thumb hole.
Make slip stitches to the first stitch marker. Next, make two rows of single crochet stitches around the thumb hole. Then sew glove edging with a needle and yarn.

If you like it, make a flower like this or some other decoration.
