410 – Super Easy Crochet Top-Down Bucket Hat Tutorial

You can see step-by-step instructions and video tutorial on how to crochet a warm and soft hat. This is an adult beanie. But, I will show you how to make different sizes.
The pattern is very simple.
Beanie is very soft and comfortable.

You will need:

Total Yarn 100 g / 200 m / 218 yds
Ball (50g) contains 100 m/ 109 yds (medium)
Hook Size 5 mm (US H/8, UK 6)

Size: Adult (M size)

Width: 24 cm / 9.4 inches
Length: 24 cm / 9.4 inches

Terminology:
st – stitch
sts – stitches
sl.st. – slip stitch
Rnd – Round/Row
Incr – increase
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
DC – double crochet stitch (yarn over the hook once)
DCFLO – double crochet front loop only
2 crossed DC – Skip one stitch and make DC in the next stitch. Then, make DC in the skipped stitch working behind of the previous stitch.

Rnd 6: (incr 12 sts) CH 2, *DC one into the next 4 stitches, DC 2 in one st. *repeat the entire row; Sl.st. to the first st just to close the round. Total 72 DCs
The diameter of these first 6 rows is about 17,5 cm / 7 inches. It is M size beanie for adults.
We will mark the last row in which we added stitches
For size L, make one more, seventh round in which you will add stitches.
