400 – Simple Crochet Pattern – Cute Stitches for a Blanket and Scarf

Terminology:

st – stitch
sts – stitches
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet
Star st. – Insert the hook into a stitch. Yarn over the hook, and draw up a loop one, two, three. Now we have 4 loops on the hook. Yarn over the hook and draw the yarn through 3 loops on the hook and then, draw the yarn through 2 loops on the hook

Instructions:

To begin, make as many chains as you need.

Row 1: Skip chain one and make one single crochet stitch (SC) in the second chain, make SC one in each chain across.

Row 2: SC, CH 2, make Star st, *Star st *continue this pattern across the row; at the end, you’ll make DC one in the last stitch
Row 3: CH one and turn your work, make SC one in every stitch across

Rows 2 – 3 = Pattern
