399 – Crochet Lacy Summer Top From 2 Panels – Beginner Friendly

You can see Step by step instructions and a video tutorial on how to crochet a summer blouse. It is very simple and quick to make. It consists of two equal parts (front and back) that join at the shoulders and under the arm. It is suitable for beginners
BACK = FRONT

You will need:

Cotton Yarn 350 g / 875 m / 959 yds (Weight #2)
Ball (50g) contains 125 m/ 137 yds
Hook size 3,5 mm, US size E-4
Tape measure
Stitch markers
Sewing needle

Size: M

Width = 48 cm / 19 in
Length = 48 cm / 19 in

Terminology:

st – stitch
sts – stitches
sl.st – slip stitch
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet (yarn over the hook once)

Instructions:

First, I’m going to make part one (FRONT)
I’m going to make 99 chains (48 cm / 19 in) for size M.
If you need a different size, feel free to either add or subtract from this chain number. The number of chains must be odd.

You can easily customize a blouse to your size.

Different sizes:

XS = 83 chains
S = 89 chains
M = 99 chains
L = 109 chains
XL = 119 chains
XXL = 129 chains

Row 1: Skip 3 chains and make one double crochet stitch (DC) in the 4th chain, make DC one in each chain across.
Row 2: CH 3 and turn your work; make DC 2 in the second stitch, *skip st, DC 2 in the next st *repeat the entire row; DC one in the last st.
Row 3: CH 3 and turn your work, make DC one between the next two DC sts, CH one, DC one between the next two DC sts *CH one, DC one between the next two DC sts *repeat the entire row except for the last stitch; DC one in the last st.
Row 4: CH 3 and turn your work; make DC 2 in the second stitch, *DC 2 in every DC *repeat the entire row; DC one in the last st.

Rows 3 – 4 = Pattern
Repeat Pattern

I made 46 rows (48 cm / 19 in).
If you want, you can make more rows to make the blouse longer.
Do another part like this

Join the two parts with a needle and yarn.

Edge around the arm-hole

Row 1: SC stitches (each row – two stitches)
Row 2: SC stitches

Edge around the neck-hole

Row 1: slip stitches
