331 – Crochet an Easy Block Stitches Pattern

You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.

Terminology:

st – stitch
sts – stitches
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
DC – double crochet stitch

Instruction:

To begin, make chains multiple of 4 + 3
Use a green-colored yarn.

Row 1: Skip 3 chains and make one double crochet stitch in the fourth chain. Make one DC in each chain across. Turn your work
Switch to a white-colored yarn.
Row 2: CH one and make SC in the first stitch, *CH 3, skip 3 sts, SC *repeat this process; Turn your work
Row 3: CH 3, DC 4 in the first chain three space, *DC 4 in the next chain three space *repeat entire row except for the last stitch; DC in the last st; Turn your work.
Switch a green-colored yarn.
Row 4: CH one and make SC in the first stitch, CH 3, *SC between two shells, CH 3, *repeat this process; SC between two last sts. Turn your work.
Row 5: CH 3, DC 4 in the first chain three space, *DC 4 in the next chain three space *repeat entire row except for the last stitch; DC in the last st; Turn your work.

Pattern = Rows 4 – 5
Repeat pattern (Rows 4 – 5)

Continue to change the color of the yarn every two rows.
