297 – How to Crochet TC and DC Cross Stitches Pattern

This pattern You can use for a blouse, vest, scarf, poncho, and many other things.

To crochet this pattern, you will need to know how to crochet the next stitches:

  • chain stitch
  • single crochet stitch
  • double crochet stitch
  • half double crochet stitch
  • treble crochet stitch

You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.

Terminology:

st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
HDC – half double crochet stitch
DC – double crochet stitch (yarn over the hook once)
TC – treble crochet stitch (yarn over the hook twice)

Instructions:
To begin, make chains any multiple of 10 + 3
I’m going to make chain 23

Row 1: Skip chain (CH) and make single crochet stitches (SC) to the end row. Total 22 SCs. Turn your work.

Row 2: CH one and make half double crochet stitch (HDC) to the end row. Total 22 HDCs. Turn your work.

Row 3: CH 3, DC into the next st, skip 2 sts, make treble crochet stitch (TC) in the next 2 sts, DC one behind first done TC st, DC one behind second done TC st, DC in the next 2 st, TC one in front of first done DC st, TC one in front of second done DC st, skip 2 sts, DC 2, *skip 2 sts, TC in the next 2 sts, DC one behind first done TC st, DC one behind second done TC st, DC in the next 2 st, TC one in front of first done DC st, TC one in front of second done DC st, skip 2 sts, DC 2 *repeat entire row

Row 4: CH one and make HDC to the end row. Total 22 HDCs. Turn your work.

Rows 1 and 2 make once
Repeat Rows 3 – 4
Rows 3 – 4 = Pattern
