You will need:
You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.
Terminology:
st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet stitch
DC – double crochet stitch
Instructions:
To begin make chains (Multiple of 4 + 1)
I’m going to make 17 chains (Multiple of 4 + 1)
Row 1: Skip chain (CH) and make single crochet stitches (SC) to the end row. Total 16 SCs. Turn your work.
Row 2: CH, SC in the first st, CH 5, skip 2 sts, SC, *SC, CH 5, skip 2 sts, SC *repeat entire row; Turn your work.
Row 3: CH, SC 4 into the first 5 chain space, CH 5, SC 4 into the same 5 chain space, *SC 4 into the next 5 chain space, CH 5, SC 4 into the same 5 chain space *repeat entire row; Turn your work
Row 4: CH 3, SC 4 into the first 5 chain space, CH 5, SC 4 into the same 5 chain space, *SC 4 into the next 5 chain space, CH 5, SC 4 into the same 5 chain space *repeat entire row; Turn your work
Repeat Row 4 until the last three rows.
Before the last two rows: CH 3, SC 10 into the 5 chain space, *SC 10 into the 5 chain space *repeat entire row
Before the last row: CH 3, skip 3 SCs, SC 2, *CH 2, skip 8 SCs, SC 2 *repeat entire row; DC in the last st
Last row: CH, SC in the next 3 sts; *SC 2 in the next two chain space, SC 2 over SC 2 *repeat entire row; SC in the last stitch; Total 16 SCs.
