282 – DIY Tutorial Crochet Pattern Shell Stitch

You can see Step by step instructions and a video tutorial on how to crochet a very nice lace pattern.
You need to know how to crochet chain (CH), single crochet stitch (SC), double crochet stitch (DC), DC+CH+DC (V-st), Shell stitch (4 DC + 2 CH + 4 DC in one stitch) and 4 DC together (DC4tog)
You can use different colors of yarn and make color combinations of your choice.

You will need:

You can use any yarn and hook you have or love.

Terminology:
st – stitch
CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet (yarn over the hook once)
V-st – DC+CH+DC
Shell – 4 DC + 2 CH + 4 DC in one stitch
DC4tog – 4 DC together

Instructions:

To begin it’s necessary to make a chains. Multiple of 12 plus 2

Row 1: skip chain one, single crochet stitch (SC) in the next chain; SC entire row. Turn your work.

Row 2: CH 3, double crochet stitch (DC) in the first st, CH, skip 5 sts, Shell (4 DC + 2 CH + 4 DC in one stitch), CH, skip 5 sts, *V-st (DC+CH+DC), CH, skip 5 st, Shell, CH, skip 5 sts *repeat entire row, DC 2 into the last stitch.

Row 3: CH 3, DC in the first st, skip CH, DC4tog, CH 4, SC in the middle of the shell, CH 4, DC4tog, *V-st over V-st, DC4tog, CH 4, SC in the middle of the shell, CH 4, DC4tog *repeat entire row, except last stitch; DC 2 into the last st.

Row 4: CH 3, DC 4 into the next st, CH, V-st over SC, CH, *Shell over V-st, CH, V-st over SC, CH *repeat this process; DC 4 into the before last st, DC into the last st.

Row 5: CH 3, DC in the first st, CH 4, DC4tog into the next four sts, V-st over V-st, *DC4tog, CH 4, SC in the middle of the shell, CH 4, DC4tog, V-st over V-st * repeat this process; DC4tog, CH 4, DC 2 into the last st.

Row 6: CH 3, DC in the first st, CH, Shell over V-st, CH, *V-st over SC, CH, Shell over V-st, CH, *repeat entire row, except the last stitch; DC 2 into the last st.

Row 7: CH 3, DC in the first st, skip CH, DC4tog, CH 4, SC in the middle of the shell, CH 4, DC4tog, *V-st over V-st, DC4tog, CH 4, SC in the middle of the shell, CH 4, DC4tog *repeat entire row, except the last stitch; DC 2 into the last st.

Rows 1 – 3: make once these rows
Repeat Rows 4 – 7

Changing colors
Row 1 : 3: green – colored yarn
Rows 4 – 5: yellow-colored yarn
Rows 6 – 7: red-colored yarn
Row 8 – 9: green – colored yarn
Keep changing colors in this way.
