You will need:
Hook size 2,5 mm
Yarn 300 g (6 x 50 g)
6 balls of white Cotton Yarn. Each ball contains 50 g, 120 m /131 yds
Size: L
Width = 50 cm / 19.6 inches
Length = 61 cm / 24 inches
Initial number of chains for other sizes:
S – 76 chains (Multiples of 3 + 1)
M – 82 chains (Multiples of 3 + 1)

Shell stitch – 3DC Shell (3DC in one stitch/space)
Instructions:
First Piece
Start 88 chains (Multiples of 3 + 1)
Row 1: Skip 3 chains (this is the first stitch). One double crochet stitch in the next 85 chains. Total 86 stitches. (Multiples of 3 + 2) Turn your work.
Row 2: CH 3, skip 1 stitch, 3DC Shell, *skip 2 stitches, 3DC Shell *repeat; skip 1 stitch and DC in the last stitch. Skip one stitch at the beginning and at the end of the row. Skip two stitches inside the row.
Turn your work.
Row 3: CH 3, one double crochet stitch in the next 85 st. Total 86 stitches. Turn your work.
Rows 4-19: repeat Rows 2-3
Now I’m going to make 14 rows in the same way.
Rows 20-33: CH 3, double crochet stitch in the back loops in the next 85 stitches; Total 86 stitches.
Row 34: Slip stitches 6; SC and CH 2; Double crochet stitch in the back loops in the next 73 stitches. The rest are 6 loops. Total 74 stitches. We made 74 stitches (86 – 6 – 6 = 74). Turn your work.
Rows 35-37: CH 3, double crochet stitch in the back loops in the next 73 stitches; Total 74 stitches.
Row 38: CH 3, skip 1 stitch, 3DC Shell, *CH, skip 2 stitches, 3DC Shell *repeat; skip 1 stitch and DC in the last stitch. Turn your work.
Row 39: CH 3, DC in the first space, CH, *3DC Shell in the chain space, CH * repeat; DC 2 in the last space. Turn your work.
Row 40: CH 3, 3DC Shell in the chain space, *CH, 3DC Shell in the chain space * repeat; DC in the last stitch. Turn your work.
Rows 41-42: repeat Rows 39-40
Straps (bretels) of blouse
One strap:
Skip 6 Shells and put the stitch marker in the first loop of the 7th shell.
Row 1: CH 3, DC in the first space, CH, *3DC Shell in the chain space, CH * repeat; DC 2 in the last space. Turn your work.
Row 2: CH 3, 3DC Shell in the chain space, *CH, 3DC Shell in the chain space * repeat; DC in the last stitch. Turn your work.
Rows 3-6: repeat Rows 1-2
Make the other strap in the same way.
Make second piece.
FRONT = BACK
Use your yarn and sew the two straps together at the top.
Sew the front and back pieces with needle and yarn.
Edges – neck
Connect the yarn to the first shell on the front piece. Make chain and one single crochet stitch in the next two stitches. Then, make two chains, SC in the next stitch, skip the chain from the previous row. Repeat this process to the end row (*SC 2, CH 2, SC, skip CH *repeat).
Then, make stitches to the strap inner edging. *SC 3, CH 2 *repeat
Edges – armhole: *SC 3, CH 2 *repeat
Edges – bottom of the blouse: *SC 3, CH 2 *repeat

Thank you for this pattern. I have tired so many times to learn how to make my own tops but found the patterns/instructions of others didn’t match the gauge / tension . This pattern was designed with me and my yarn in mind. Thanks again!!!
