174 DIY Tutorial – Crochet Sweater Cardigan
You can see Step by step instruction and video tutorial how to crochet a Cardigan. This is a very simple crochet pattern worked primarily using double crochet stitches (DC) and treble crochet stitches (TC).
You need to know how to crochet Chain Stitch (CH), Single Crochet (SC), Double Crochet (DC) and Treble Crochet (TC).

You will need:
Size hook 5,5 mm
Scissors
Tape measure
Yarn 6 x 50g = 300g
6 balls of beige Yarn. Each ball contains 142 yds/ 130 m
1 m = 1,0936 jardi (yds)
Size:
Width = 99cm /39 ” Length = 88cm / 34,5″
Terminology:
st – Stitch
sk – Skip
rpt – Repeat
Rnd – Round
CH – Chain Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
TC – Treble Crochet
2SC with CH 2 in one stitch
Instructions:
Start 135 chains.
Row 1: skip 5 chains (CH); double crochet stitch (DC) in the sixth chain, *make chain, skip chain, DC in the next chain * repeat entire row; turn your work
Row 2: 4 CH; *TC in chain space, TC over DC * repeat entire row; Total 131 stitches; turn your work
Row 3: 4 CH; skip st; DC; *CH, skip st, DC* repeat entire row; Total 131 stitches; turn your work
Rows 2-3 = pattern
Rows 4 -19: repeat rows 2-3
Width = 99cm /39 “; Length = 36cm /14”
After 19 rows fold your work in half matching the top to the bottom. On the side for armholes, measure off about 18cm / 7″
Connect two sides with Sleap Stich and continue to work in a circle.
Rnd 1: 4 CH; *TC in chain space, TC over DC * repeat to the end row (130 stitches).
Then, connect two sides with TC stich and continue to make TC stiches entire round. Tie it together with Slip Stitch. Total 260 stitches.
Rnds 1 -14: Repeat the pattern seven times. (Length = 26cm /10″)
Edge – make single crochet stitches in a circle
*2SC with CH 2 over DC* repeat entire rnd
Edge of armhole – make one round of single crochet stitches (2SC, 4SC, 2SC, 4SC…)
